Brazil allows up to 100% business control through foreign capital of air transport companies registered in the country through Provisional Measure (MP) 863/2018, of December 13, 2018. This partially repeals article 181 of Law 7 565/1986 (Brazilian Aeronautics Code, CBA), which limited the participation of foreign capital to 20%. The Measure must be approved by the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate to acquire the character of Law.
