Turkey removes restrictions export copper and aluminum scrap
Turkey established in 2011 export restrictions of these secondary raw materials to channel the local production for domestic consumption and casters favored their copper and aluminium. This has been assuming definite harm to european companies importing these scrap metal. The eu showed their opposition to consider these measures contrary to multilateral trade rules. After several years of discussions and requests for turkish exporters, on 11 july 2017, turkey issued the Comunicadonº 2017/8 No. 30121, amending the communiqué No. 2006/7, that removes the scrap copper and aluminium from the list of export chatarrras restricted.
