Since December 2017, a Certificate of free circulation of the product in the country of origin or provenance was required to process its import. This provision generated great uncertainty among Spanish and European companies, due to not knowing who was going to be "the competent authority" to issue said certificate. Since March 2018, the model unified at the European level by Eurochambres, adopted by the Official Chambers of Commerce in Spain, is recognized by the Algerian government. This is a certification issued by the exporter that must be signed and stamped on blank paper (without company or Chamber letterhead) and presented in duplicate for legalization by the Chamber.
