New Executive Decree 15-306 of 6 december 2015, which establishes a new system of licences to import in Algeria. For most products, the leave is automatic granting of, but a dozen products will be subject to quotas. Applications for permission to the goods subject to quota will be examined, and, after the evaluation period, shall be adopted or rejected. This new measure is in force since 5 january 2016. There are three categories of goods for which they have established import quotas: vehicles (152,000 units), Portland cement (2.2 million tonnes), and corrugated steel (2 million tons).
