In the budget 2014/15, published on 21 february, an increase can be decreed by 25 per cent of the excise (excise taxes) on all alcoholic drinks, with immediate effect. The argument is the need to maintain the embargo imposed in line with inflation, since the last climb back to 2004. Wine and spirits spend 70 to $88/l of alcohol and beer from 48 to 60 $/l of alcohol.
