Reduction of tariff surcharge for balance-of-payment problems – the committee on external trade, COMEX, in plenary meeting of 21 january 2016, adopted resolution number 001-2016, in compliance with the decommissioning programme for the safeguard measure on the balance of payments, agreed with the world trade organization (WTO). In this way, it approved the reduction of 5 per cent surcharge of 45 per cent tariff applied to a group of items of outputs and inputs the country. Thus, the surcharge becomes 40%.
